I left my heart in san Francisco

San fran. Is the most amazing place with its hills and marin layer- sometimes we didn't even see anything but fog there all day. We rode tram up the hillsides, seen a show, walked through a national park and drove to napa valley in a convertable to go wine tasting!!!

One thing I disliked about this place more than anything else is the
Coldness from the marine layer... The temperature could he anywhere from 52-65 degrees so I needed to buy a jumper, scarf and jeans!!

We decided to go on a couple of bus tours and a mini.boat tour. The buildings are soo pretty here cos they are all brightly coloured and Victorian. From all of the trips I lernt the following useless facts: the amount of wire in the golden gate bridge could wrap around the earth 3 times. There are more dogs in san fran than children. Alcatraz had only 300 prisoners at any one time. San fran was mostly made up of hippys.....

The wine tasting was so much fun and I felt so sophisticated ( the inner geordie child left my alcoholic body for the day.... Before I stepped on the bottom of my maxi dress and my boob popped out and I was literally the boob of every joke!)

But I have loved san fran and its cold ways.... I'm sure la will prove to be a good contrast :)

Viva las Vegas!

After a busy and tiring 4 days on las Vegas I am waiting for my flight to san fran. I have had the mist amazing time in las Vegas n would recommend it to everyone. The first 2 nights we stayed in the ballagio- which was amazing with a huge glass shower and electronic curtains!!! ( they caused a lot of amusement) and the comfyest bed I have slept in.

We met with jennis parents and went for tea and were invaded by the Newcastle crew- needless to say jennis parents didn't know what hit them meeting Laura and Kelly. The theme of the Vegas trip was gellato ice cream which went down a treat every time.

I feel like we have done so much whilst being here.... Getting very drunk off 6 dollar cocktails, dancing in the kyote ugly bar, seeing a show called zumqnity ( which was single handedly the wierdest experience of my life) and we also did a tour of the Hoover damn and I sang Katy Perry on a karioke Needless to say after this I crashed and burned last night and I'm feeling extremely tired today- but still hitting san fran with full force lol...

Speak shortly :) xxxxx

Grand times!!!

So yesterday we went to a very beautiful but rocky place called Sedona... A small place in the desert surrounded my miles and miles of red rock. We decided to go on a pink jeep tour, where the driver takes you off roaring and shows you some caves from native American times with different pictures painted on the rocks. It was really fascinating but being a bugaphobic I was more conscious of the fact he said 20 different types of pythons lived there and bears hah.... The trip was really fun though and we were put with a old couple, who were cute but extremely annoying asking thousands of questions and the woman stood on me and hit me with her stupid walking stick like ten times, which pissed me off lol....

We headed back to our hotel in Sedona after this ( which surrealy was the most expensive and the worst so fa4- but hey you cannot have it all ways) we decidedmto eat out and went to the weirdest diner that was alien themed.... It creeped me out to the max and we made a swift exist after our meal.

I was so tired last night and must have gone straight to sleep before my head hit the pillow! We had anearly start for our trip to the grand canyon this morning and decided breakfast was crappy and went to a local diner called the coffee pot, which was heaving. I ordered pancakes with lemon and sugar ( obviously they don't normally have lemon and sugar on pancakes cos I got a bit of a weird look off the waitress) but it came and there were five pancakes as big as my head and about an inch thick.... Needless to say I couldn't eat them all, but I hadna good go.

I fell asleep in the 2 hour ride to the canyon this morning, through monsoon rain as well lol.... We didn't stay long- but long enough to get soaked and dry off and take pictures. It was beautiful.....

I'm currently sitting in the car for a 5 hour journey back to Phoenix to stay a night with jenni's aunty before Vegas baby wooooooo!!!!

Peace out cowboys and girls yeee haaaa xxxx

Goodbye to the land of drunken pool times- scotsdale

Yesterday we had a late start and decided to go to Arizona aquerium... We only payed 5 rollers to get in but it was worth while to see jenny get a fright looking at the spider crabs which was quite funny lol.... It was one of our cheaper days. After going to rawhide early ( we didn't realize it opened at 5) we returned to the old style western village where people were in character and gun shots were getting fired quite a lot.we decided to get a themed picture done and we dressed up in pretty dresses with lids of saucy accessories, I had fake money down my boobs... Was great fun- you know I love to dress up!!!.... Although it was hot yesterday it wasn't as hot as previous days which madeit more berable

Because of the late start we returned to the hotel late on and didn't get out for tea until 10 and we went to a sports bar where we had a pizza and cocktail for 12 dollars each.jenni's friend Justin also joined us for the day and played photographer bless him!

Upon returning to the hotel we cracked open our family size bottle of vino ( wish they super sized wine in the uk lol) and went for a midnight dip inthw pool. Some black ladies from the south had some fraud with us- the most hilarious convo in my life....they didn't want us to spoil their buzz by drowning and waking up to caution tape in the pool.... They were insistent my mam had sent them to watch me and skype through her necklace like some secret spy- was so funny.....

After a early start this morning we have checked out of our beautiful hotel in Scottsdale ( I made sure I took at the aveda I could cram into my suitcase before leaving) and were now driving to Sedona 2 hours north of scottsdale ( a half way stop for the grand canyon trip tomorrow) jenni's friend Justin is joining in the fun too.... The views are beautiful along the roads and me and jenny have made a great karioke duet in the back :)

Peace out for now home slices!!!

The land of the grand canyon

So after being delayed a hour at Chicago ms jenni being a freak magnet at the airport we arrived at Phoenix in the rely hours of the morning to heat of over 97 degrees!!! This heat is different, much dryer and full on. Jennis friend Justin picked us up and drove us ten mins to our hotel.

The hotel is situated in Scottsdale and is the best hotel I have ever been to ever! 2 huge pools, aveda spa products and a bottle of champaign in the room which was accidental as it was a happy birthday to some lass called Jennie lee, we still managed to drink it all while it was still chilled, listened to some tunes ms went to bed.

Today has been equally as hot, if not hotter - however as I'm sitting writing this a huge black cloud is luming behind us, and it is monsoon season!! This morning we went to the supermarket and stocked up on food- mostly fruit, as I'm trying soooo hard not to gain too much weight. We picked up our rental car and now I'm sitting round the beautiful quiet pool listening to cream Ibiza podcast :). The pool is lush with day beds and waterfalls.... Breakfast was nice here too with a bowl of mixed fresh fruit and a bagel.

The tan is coming on nicely now and I'm up for wearing one of my new dresses tonight and go for a nice meal.

Hope everyone is ok back home.... Miss you all xxx

The windy city....

So after a long and hoy packed day I can safely say I LOVE Chicago and I would recommend it to anyone as a city break....  Today we have been to one if the best restaurants I have ever been to set in a high rise building with lavish decor and amazing food with deserts baked to order....

Shortly after we took a bus tour to see the bulk if Chicago which was great fun. We stopped off at navy peer which was amazing and took a ride on the ferris wheel. We stopped to look out at the vast lake and headed back for a night cruise over the river and lakes. The night skyline was beautiful.

Currently were sitting in a bar dipping cocktails and catching up on out day.... This is soon to be followed by a bottle of vino in the room and loads of sleeps for our lay day in Chicago tomorrow :(

Peace out!!!

Here!!!!

So I'm all here and LOVING it soooooo much!!! Chicago is an amazing and strange place, where the train is built over the road on a big metal scaffolding, which is so strange!! Last night we chilled in our room and went for something to eat at a restaurant around the corner, chatting for hours and catching up with each other as it has been over a year since new York. But now I'm fully up do date with jenni's complicated love live- which took a whole meal haha....

Our hotel room is amazing, dead contemporary. An early night at 9pm sorted me out with the sleep I needed as I hadn't slept for a full 48 hours. Just as well I had a comfy double bed to myself.....

I'm currently waiting for Kristen to get ready and we are going out not the hot a
Hot Chicago sun to explore the city, were thinking about a bus tour and then a boat trip later on.

Happy first day :)

Billy no mates!!!

So after a fab week, its not a surprise that I'm feeling wierd about leaving everyone back home and feeling apprehensive about all this madness....

Helen came over last night to say bye and keep me company and she did a lot more than that.... Inferred she actually saved me from a huge spider in the living room!!!! ( mam if your reading this its under the yellow cup next to the sofa) we came to the conclusion that ibiza will be the future of all good times....

I have checked in at Newcastle for my flight to hethrow, which boards in a hour or so!!! Eeek!!! I'm currently chilling, watching the sun rise over a BA plane and listening to a cream podcast chilling out like a billy no mates hah!!!.... Good times!!!!

Finish Line

Well.... it's that time of year again when summer surrounds you and all you want to do is chillax but work beckons.... Only one week of placement left (well even less to be honest because of other shit). Although I will be sad I am happy the 9 weeks has flown by and I can catch up with friends since I haven't seen much of them since my birthday :)

After spending over a 100 quid on a interview outfit- although it was worth every penny and extremely lush- my American pot went down slightly lol.... Over the weekend I have found out some exciting news that I am off to IBIZA!!! I am so mega excited it's unreal and my pre-tan before America will be awesome!! I cannot wait to soak up the rays and chill out with a few bevvys by the pool.....

At the risk of sounding philosophical I have been asking myself many questions in life lately... like: How men look so different and almost foreign with more facial hair and why 'cooooey' is an unacceptable way in society to say hello!!....

Moving on......

3 weeks today until holiday 1 and  4 weeks tomorrow till American fun timmmmessss :D :D :D yipppeeee.... and so the count down begins ....

Now im off to put on me shorts and sexy sun specs and soak up some rays whilst enduring my last weekend of planning for a while!!....

'Teenage Dream'

OK so after a phone call from the Kent I have realised how little time there is between now and America!! 3 weeks of placement and some exciting weeks catching up with friends, chilling and working....

Cannot believe how tired and ready for a holiday I am now and how bloody desperate I am for a teaching job!!.... but on the upside I smell nice with my new Gucci perfume and have a wee cheeky smile on my face to keep me going...

I have a large cross roads in my life where I wish someone would make the decision for me what to do!..... Apart from getting married to Jenni in Vegas and bringing back a shit load of mountain dew the uncertainty is killing me. However, after a long serious of conversations this weekend I have found out that haggis definitely isn't a two legged creature running around and that I was being rather blonde to think that Scotland had border control as they are now their own country!.... Least my pronunciation of Scottish place names are much better than Miss Kent's who believes Scottish place names are pronounced with a lisp!

To conclude this blog I would like to share my recent observation that I'm not a fan of games; as I am a very bad looser with similar personality traits to Monica (from friends).....

P.s. Baby your fireworks!

My First Blog

I thought I would try this out as I think it would be a good way for friends and family to follow what I am upto in USA! I have to say I have copied Helen with this and I will see how it works out.... not convinced I will stick with it. I'm not as hard core as Helen and delete my facebook account haha!!
